It's iced coffee season! 3 new cold coffee recipes to make at work

Some days it’s just too warm to enjoy a hot drink. Fortunately it’s easy to make up a cold coffee in seconds from any of our bean to cup coffee machines. Just dispense an espresso over ice and top up with milk. Done!

But you can do so much more with just a few simple ingredients, to turn your chilled caffeine fix into the coolest of treats. Here are the latest creations going around the FreshGround office.

Coconut Water & Dalgona Coffee

Coconut Dalgona


 

Ingredients

Ice
Coconut water
Double espresso
Granulated sugar
Coconut garnish (optional)

Method

  1. Add double espresso and two tsp of sugar to a bowl. Whisk until foamed.
  2. Fill a glass with ice, and then half-fill with coconut water.
  3. Pour foamed coffee mix into the glass to top the drink.
  4. Garnish with dried coconut if desired.

Caramel Iced Macchiato

Ingredients

Ice
Milk
Double espresso
Double cream
Caramel syrup
Caramel sauce (optional)

Method

  1. Fill the glass with ice, and then half-fill with milk.
  2. Add two tbsp of caramel syrup (or more to taste).
  3. Pour double espresso into the glass.
  4. Separately, whisk together three tbsp of double cream, two tbsp of milk, and a tsp of vanilla syrup, until foamed.
  5. Pour the foam into the top of the glass.
  6. Drizzle with caramel sauce if desired.

Ingredients

Ice
Milk
Double espresso
Vanilla syrup
Double cream
Mascarpone
Granulated sugar
Cocoa powder

Method

  1. Fill a glass with ice, and then half fill with milk.
  2. Add the double espresso to the glass, as well as two tsp of vanilla syrup.
  3. Separately, whisk together two tbsp of double cream, two tbsp of milk, one tbsp mascarpone and one tsp of sugar, until foamed.
  4. Pour the foam into the top of the glass.
  5. Dust the drink with cocoa powder.
