Tiramisu latte recipe

Now that we are into the colder months, we wanted to share this comfort-food-inspired classic. You can make this hot or iced depending on your preference, but we are sure you will love this indulgent treat based on the classic Italian dessert. We used an Egro Next for our espresso, but any good quality bean to cup coffee machine will do the trick.

 

Ingredients:

Double espresso, milk, mascarpone, vanilla syrup, hot chocolate powder.

Method:

  1. Make your base coffee, as either a hot or iced latte.
  2. In a separate container like an empty jam jar, make your mascarpone cream…
  3. Add two generous scoops of mascarpone.
  4. Drizzle in some vanilla syrup to loosen up the mascarpone.
  5. Whisk to combine.
  6. If you are making an iced version, add a dash of milk and whisk to make it less thick.
  7. Pour the mascarpone cream over the coffee.
  8. Garnish with a sprinkle of hot chocolate powder.

Why make the mascarpone cream differently?

A hot latte will melt the mascarpone cream into your coffee. However, an iced latte will need a different consistency of topping. When the cream is more pourable, it will mix into your drink without reacting with the cold liquid. This makes for a smoother, silkier coffee.
